Richard Eastham organised and ran the architecture module of the Arts University Bournemouth's Spring Art School. A group of 15 pupils designed their beach hut of the future, through sketches and model making over three intensive days’ work.
The art school project aims to encourage those students who can benefit most from what AUB has to offer, whatever their background, to apply to further and higher arts education.
AUB hosted a unique three-day activity in May 2016 for pupils in Years 8, 9 and 10 who have an interest in art, design, media and production. The Spring Art School was divided into different subject areas giving students the option of focusing on one main art discipline.
This three-day activity is designed to give students a taster of studying their chosen subject at further or higher education level. These sessions allowed them to develop specialist learning, team building, problem-solving and communication skills.
The Feria Urbanism team has worked on other design training and education projects in Cambridge, Luton, Hampshire and Dorset, including several working with children and young people. If you wish to know more about our other projects, please get in touch.
