Feria Urbanism has been appointed by Nether Wallop Parish Council to provide support for their neighbourhood plan project.
The parish council has recently begun the preparation of a neighbourhood plan. It successfully ran a parish-wide survey in late 2019 and early 2020. Using these results as the basis for our work, we shall be developing the thematic sections of the plan and will prepare a series of draft planning policies over the next phase of work.
Richard and Henrike undertook an extensive series of visits and took field notes during January 2020. This gave us deeper insight to the character and qualities of the village and wider parish. Engagement with the local authority (Test Valley Borough Council) has also begun. Due to the restrictions on movement and social gatherings imposed during the Covid-19 public health crisis, the planned public engagement elements of the work have now been put on hold until further notice.
The Feria Urbanism team has been involved in other neighbourhood plans in a series of towns and villages including Loose, Hawkhurst, Lewes, Ticehurst, Staplehurst and Faversham. The team has also worked with a neighbourhood forum in Bristol. If you wish to know more about these other neighbourhood plan projects, please get in touch.
